Re-visit the Golden Age of Hollywood with Gene Marshall by Mel Odom!
The Gene doll debuted at Toy Fair in February of 1995. The immediate response by collectors was a positive one, with many rejoicing at a new doll finally breaking a decades-old monopoly on the fashion doll world. Rabid on-line attention to Gene convinced Ashton-Drake, the original manufacturers, to continue and expand the line until 2005. IN 2006, Jason Wu and his team took over Gene Marshall and completely refreshed the line for a wonderful five year run!
Officially retired in June 2010, the Gene Marshall brand will always be remembered fondly by everyone involved!
