Valia
The Valia doll concept is the brainchild of Jason Wu and his design team, inspired by fashion greats Rene Gruau, Lisa Fossagrives and Richard Avedon. Originally conceived in Fall 2005, it took countless efforts to realize Mr. Wu’s dream project. According to Wu, “I wanted her to be a fashion concept. With so much emphasis on elaborate articulation and realism at the moment, I wanted to go back to basics with Valia”. In order to fully execute the idea, the production team had to create a brand new resin formula, along with an exclusive system of joints. The result is a doll that truly defines art, fashion and luxury.
