Vaughn was a visionary designer and a beloved member of the Integrity Toys family for 25 years. He was part of the pioneering team that helped evolve the company from a playline-focused company into a global leader in the collectible fashion doll industry.
His creativity is woven into some of the company’s most iconic and enduring lines: Fashion Royalty, NU. Face, The Monarchs: Homme, and Meteor, as well as licensed collections like JEM and the Holograms. His eye for detail, deep understanding of fashion and storytelling, and unwavering dedication to the craft earned him the admiration of collectors around the world.
But beyond his artistic talents, Vaughn will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and passion for dolls, for design, and for the community that surrounded it all. His legacy is not only in the dolls he developed, but in the friendships he built, the fans he inspired, and the company he helped shape.
He was not only our colleague, but he was also our family. His absence is felt deeply, but his spirit will live on in every sculpt, sketch, and spark of imagination he leaves behind.

Thank you Vaughn for all of your hard work creating these masterpieces at IT. I never got to meet you but I feel like I have after hearing other collectors beautiful stories about you. Through your work I felt your dedication and commitment to bringing amazing dolls to all of us in the doll community. You meant so much to a lot of us and we will miss you. Rest in paradise.
Not only will Vaughn's talent be missed, but his wonderful personality, down-to-earth approachability, sense of humor and kindness will be never be forgotten. I hope his family and loved ones can find some sense of peace knowing that he left an indelible mark on everyone who was blessed enough to have known him.
This hurts so bad you were taken too soon. I was blessed to have known you for so long and call you family. I still hear your voice "to be honest Sach....." haha . This sadness will be with me forever. Love you Vaughn
I'll never forget the first convention I went to in 2015, I was so excited to talk to Vaughn Jem - and he was SO GREAT! He had such a warm, friendly demeanor. I've bumped into him with friends at various later conventions and he was always so friendly, gracious- always made time for collectors and always excited to talk about his lines (Meteor/Monarchs). He was also just a truly amazing, talented designer. were all so lucky to have him, and he will be terribly missed.
Vaughn will always have a special sweet place in my memory & heart. Always kind and extremely talented, having brought so much joy to so many with his own heart & creativity. My condolences to all family and friends.
I am heartbroken by the sudden passing of Vaughn Sawyer, a brilliant IT designer and one of the kindest souls I’ve met. At Conventions, he always welcomed collectors with warmth and generosity, leaving everyone feeling seen. His artistry shaped the history of Integrity Toys and touched doll communities worldwide. He was incredibly talented and came across as humble and kindhearted when he shared his insights. I recall meeting Vaughn during the early days of the WClub conventions. He was very excited about this new chapter in his life that would allow him to express his creative talents. Vaughn was blessed and fortunate to do the work that he loved and we as a doll community shared and benefited from that fortune. A special thanks to the Sawyer family for sharing this memorial with the doll community. His contributions to the doll world will never be forgotten.
You will be missed, your talent brought us so much joy and we will cherish our dolls ever more than ever. Thank you for always listening to us the collectors and for trying to please us with our requests for looks, dolls, bodies, styles. thank you and RIP.
Deepest condolences to Vaughn family and friends. I am new to doll collecting but the love and friendships and camaraderie that I have gained in this community are meaningful. This loss is great when a creator of beauty in the doll world passes as it brought us so much joy. I know that Vaughn love and legacy creating beauty will go on forever. I never met Vaughn in person, but his joyful, kind personality came through during on line videos. And his talent and creativity…well, that was apparent in his incredible designs. I am a proud owner of many of his doll creations, and am so very glad to have them in my collection. As such, his memory will live on in this house, and in my heart. To his personal family and friends, and to IT and his work family, I send my heartfelt condolences.
Vaughn, I didn't ever meet you outside of online conventions and reveals, but your warmth and kindness always shone through. Thank you for all you contributed to the world of doll collecting. Your work will be treasured always.
I didn't have the opportunity to know Vaughn personally but as a collector I had the pleasure to appreciate his work. As I always say, doll designer are special human beings, they bring beauty and dreams to our everyday life through hard work. This August we also lost two other talented and kind Italian designers, Mario and Gianni. I now want to think of them three all together creating beauty in Heaven. Thank you Vaughn for the beauty you gave us with your dolls. RIP.
